A project-based school
for AI development
Promptly runs structured cohort programmes for developers who want to work with open-source AI models — from first environment setup to engineering-level project work. No shortcuts, no promises. Just coursework and code.
Cohort Programmes
Three cohort tracks, each building on a different scope of AI engineering work. Participants complete project assignments, receive code review, and build a documented portfolio of work.
Working with Open Models
A five-week introduction covering environment setup, running open models locally and via APIs, basic data preparation, and two small project assignments with code review. Participants end with a small portfolio repository.
- Environment setup & tooling
- Open-source model APIs
- Two project assignments + code review
- Portfolio repository at completion
Engineering Practice for AI Projects
Fourteen weeks covering version control, code review, model serving, evaluation, and reproducibility. Includes three project sprints and a final capstone. Working Python skills required before joining.
- Version control & code review habits
- Model serving & evaluation
- Three project sprints
- Written project summaries + capstone
Full Developer Programme
Thirty-two weeks part-time covering the modern open-source AI stack — transformer architectures, retrieval-augmented systems, model serving, and small-team engineering. Four large project sprints with code review and a final capstone.
- Transformer & RAG architectures
- Four project sprints + code review
- Small-team engineering practices
- Final capstone project documented
Why Promptly
Project-based structure
Each cohort runs through real assignment cycles — not passive video lectures. Participants write, submit, and receive structured code review.
Open-source focus
All coursework uses widely available open-source models and tooling. No proprietary black boxes — participants see what they are working with.
Portfolio at the end
Every programme produces a documented output — a portfolio repository or capstone project that participants own and can share.
Code review included
Assignments are reviewed by instructors, not just auto-graded. Participants receive written feedback on their submissions.
Part-time compatible
Programmes are structured for working adults. The weekly workload is defined upfront so participants can plan around existing commitments.
Transparent scope
Each programme page states exactly what participants will cover, what they submit, and what they walk away with. No hidden requirements or vague outcomes.
